With her album 21 still at the top of the charts, soulful songtress Adele has been in high demand this year. However due to throat problems, the "Someone Like You" singer has been repeatedly forced to cancel many of her shows, and now ultimately canceling all her 2011 appearances to undergo throat surgery. Rumors started flying saying that Adele was actually battling throat cancer -- even causing "Adele Has Throat Cancer" to trend on Twitter.

However, the singer's rep has confirmed that these rumors are not true. "We would like to reiterate that Adele is to undergo surgery for a hemorrhaged vocal chord," Adele's label Sony announced. "All reports regarding any other condition are 100% false."
"I'm heartbroken and worried to tell you that yet again I'm experiencing problems with my voice," Adele said earlier this month. "I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever."
