No wonder Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes didn't want to come out about their relationship, because the second they did, Twitter basically broke because of how much fighting was going on between her ex, Jai Brooks, and both of their family members.
It all started when Luke Brooks tweeted about Nathan and Ariana, then went on to call Ariana a bad name. She instantly spoke up, making sure everyone knew she wasn't going to join in on the childish behavior.

From there, Jai's other brother, Beau Brooks, even got into the mix, basically mocking Ariana's tweet.
After all this drama, Ariana's brother, Frankie Grande, couldn't take it anymore and got into the conversation as well, tweeting exactly what went down when Ariana and Jai broke up.
"Anybody who believes that rumor about my sister needs to pause. Open their eyes and remember how much she loved him. He CRUSHED her with a phone breakup and to see Ari that miserable broke MY heart," Frankie said. "It was a sad time for us all. I've nothing bitter or negative to say because my sisters finally happy again and ultimately that's all that matters. But spreading lies to get over a broken heart is just as bad as breaking someone's heart in the first place & I'd appreciate it not happen."
After seeing that, Jai also got into the conversation and had some harsh words for Frankie before eventually deleting his tweet.
