The High School Musical cast is legit family for life and Ashley Tisdale just proved that yet again, taking to her YouTube channel's latest installment of her weekly Music Sessions to give us all a true gift: a duet with Lucas Grabeel. That's right, Sharpay and Ryan Evans reunited to sing 'What I've Been Looking For," a classic tune from the first HSM movie. And it's just as magical as you would expect seeing these two back together a decade after the first time they ever sang this duet together.

Lucas created this stripped down, stunning piano rendition of the song that he actually sent to all of his former castmates so they could take a listen. But before Ash and Lucas got into showing off this new and improved version of the tune, they took a trip down memory lane. Lucas couldn't help but reminiscence about the cast's time out on tour together performing these songs to tons of fans all over the world, since it was such an unforgettable experience.

"It's been 10 years since we sang this song and it was really crazy thinking about what would be the best song to sing with you and it instantly came to mind. All these memories kept coming back," Lucas said. "Over the several years we played it, going on tour was such a monumental kind of experience. None of us had ever felt anything or experienced anything like that before. And getting to perform a song we got to create in the studio and when I recorded this, it was the first time I had ever stepped into a recording studio before, so getting to see the thousands and thousands of fans who knew every word even if they didn't know English, we got to create that. We got to bring it to life, which is such a crazy gift."

How sweet is that? Ashley went on to gush about how Lucas is "the best singer out of all of us" and while these two are BFFs now, it wasn't always that way. They didn't shy away from the fact that when these two first met, they did not get along at all.

"We were not close. We were not good friends, let’s be honest. It’s been 10 years, we can totally talk about this now. We hated each other. Like, I’m not kidding" Ashley said. So they were basically like Sharpay and Ryan IRL.

"We didn't get off on the best foot. We just needed to live some life and go through some experiences together and learn where both of us came from and then it happened," Lucas added.

And of course now, they have nothing but love for each other.

"You're literally like my twin brother," Ashley said. Yes, they then shared the cutest hug. Evans siblings for life.

Lucas is now the second HSM alum Ash has brought onto her channel for a singing session, with Vanessa Hudgens being the first and we are forever grateful to finally have a Sharpay and Gabriella duet. So will there be any more Wildcats coming through Ashley's channel? Time will tell but she did recently spill some super cute secrets about her friendship with Zac Efron in another video, so we have a feeling this isn't the last time we'll see a former East High classmate stopping by to jam out. BRB, going to be practicing the "We're All In This Together" dance routine now, just to prepare.
