BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, is a seven-member South Korean boy band. (The letters are short for the Korean phrase "Bangtan Songyeondan," which translates to "bulletproof boy scouts" in English.) Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Rap Monster, Jimin, V, Jungkook have gained millions of followers and fans worldwide who love their music and active social media presence.
Earlier this year, J-14's Liam McEwan interviewed the boys about everything, from winning in a category that put them against Justin Bieber to their favorite music. The original interview had us obsessing over these boys even more than before.
Because we just can't get enough of BTS, J-14 has put together a video behind the scenes of our interview with BTS. (Spoiler: there are a lot of complexities involved in fitting that many people into one shot.) You can watch this exclusive, insider's scoop here:
As Liam explains, this interview was actually his second time meeting BTS, after he had asked the band a couple of questions earlier this year at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. The boys even recognized Liam, who was very memorable for wearing a sparkly, pink bowtie.
"They remembered me and the first thing they said when they saw me was, 'Pink bowtie! Pink bowtie!' because at the Billboard Awards I was wearing a sparkly pink bowtie. And I guess that's what they remembered me for," he said.
Liam and Kim Nam-joon ("Rap Monster") then shared a sentimental reflection on New Zealand, where Liam is from and Nam-joon studied. Amid the good conversation and laughs, Liam forgot to shut off the second camera, which Kim Tae-hyung ("V") took as an opportunity to play a prank. Tae-hyung walked right up to the device and flashed his best peace sign.
We're already looking forward to the next time we get to hang out with the boys.
