Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes gave the world a true gift when the real-life BFFs wrote and recorded their epic duet, "I Know What You Did Last Summer." It is seriously a jam and seeing these two performing together, passionate about a song they created was nothing short of magical. Camila was recently across the pond in London, doing interviews in honor of her upcoming solo album and when she stopped by Kiss FM UK, of course the topic of her oh-so-adorable friendship with the "Treat You Better" crooner came up. And she literally let the world know just how much she genuinely cares for her beloved Shawn. Sobbing.
"I love him so much, I just feel like we're going to be like best friends forever and he's one of the closest friends I have in the industry and he's always been so supportive of me. I feel like what we went through together with 'I Know What You Did Last Summer,' we were so close for a long time and we just have that bond forever," Camila gushed.
Umm, can you even handle the cuteness? So while they currently aren't set for another collab quite yet, the "Crying in the Club" songstress did another a bit of a secret about the friends' musical history. She was actually asked to join Shawn on his current Illuminate Tour, but they couldn't make it work since Camila's music is still a work in progress.
"[Touring together] would be really cool. I actually was going to, and I wanted to, but the thing is, it was for this tour [he's on] now and my music wasn't ready because I was [still] in the studio. Bu that would be amazing because I love him to death," Camila said.
Let's just let that sink in: a dual tour, featuirng Camila and Shawn. Could the world even handle that?
Perhaps it will happen one day. Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato did it and before them, Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera headed out on a joint tour together too, so these besties hitting the road is something fans obviously would love to see. Nearly everyone lost their minds when the duo had a lovely reunion back in February at a doctor's office.
Next stop: they'll be hitting the stage together. We're here for it.
