She loves her body art and tats all there is to it! Cara Delevingne has been told that her many tattoos are not helping her career because they have to be covered up for film roles, an insider exclusively tells our sister site In Touch.

According to the source, Cara, 25 — who spent over four hours a day in the makeup chair covering her almost 30 tattoos while filming Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets — couldn’t care less if Hollywood isn’t a fan of her ink.

“The process was not only time-consuming, it was costly. But Cara doesn’t like to be told what to do,” the source says of the model-turned-actress. “She plans to get more and says that if producers want to hire her, they need to know she comes with ink. If Cara could, she’d be covered head to toe in tattoos.”

Cara — whose many tats include her mother’s name, Pandora, on her bicep, a diamond inside her ear, and the outline of a heart on her pinky finger — debuted a diamondback rattlesnake on her hand in November 2016 at the launch of Rimmel's Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara in London.

At the event, the Paper Towns star told reporters about the sentimental meaning behind the reptile-inspired image, which was designed by famed tattoo artist Dr. Woo. "At the end of it, it says 'feral,' because I think I am, and it's about reinvention, shedding of old skin, new beginnings, new life,” Cara said, per The Sun.

The first tattoo that the British beauty got was a lion on her knuckle, inked by artist Bang Bang NYC in May 2013. “I’m a Leo. It’s the first tattoo I got. I grew up being fearless in everything. I just used to climb anything. I lost that [sense of fearlessness] when I started modeling,” she has said. “When you work a lot and don’t really know what you want, you just do it because the work is there. I lost that inner fire, so I got the lion to bring that back in my mind.”
