Chloe Grace Moretz Fat Shamed As Teen By Male Co-Star

Chloe Grace Moretz is opening up like never before in a new interview with Variety. Not only does she talk about her political views and what it’s like having to deal with a pay difference between her and her male co-stars, but she also admits to being fat shamed at just 15 years old. While Chloe refuses to name the only guy who ever made her cry on set, she does give a few clues.

She said that she was 15 at the time and he was in his mid-20s, so around 23, 24 or 25 years old. She also revealed that she had to continue acting with this guy who played the lead alongside her. So, what did he exactly say to her? Chloe explained, “This guy that was my love interest was like, ‘I’d never date you in real life,’ and I was like, ‘What?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, you’re too big for me’ – as in my size.”

First of all, this is disturbing and second of all, it’s gross. Who says that to someone who is just a teen? Obviously, she’s going through a bunch of stuff right now, bro. No need for the fat shaming on top of it all.

The Carrie star continued, “It was one of the only actors that ever made me cry on set. I went bawling to my brother and he was like, ‘What happened?’ And I was like, ‘He told me I was too big.’ And my brother was like, ‘What just happened?’ My brother was so angry.” As he should be. Chloe said that she had to kind of forget about the whole thing because of their professional relationship. While we totally get where she’s coming from, it’s eye-opening that she had to keep this to herself and not out him right away because of the culture of the acting world.

She said, “It just makes you realize that there are some really bad people out there and for some reason, he felt the need to say that to me. You have to kind of forgive and not forget really, but it was just like, wow. It was jarring. I look back on it and I was 15, which is really, really dark.” To be honest, this makes us sick. Chloe is 100 percent the bigger person for not totally exposing her co-star. The editors here at J-14 tried to figure out who the mystery man was but couldn’t pinpoint just one guy. A lot of her co-stars at the time had girlfriends, were married and even had children which make this whole thing even weirder. What we did figure out were the movies she worked on around the time that she was 15.

Chloe played roles in the films, Dark Shadows, Kick A– 2, Carrie, Movie 43 and Laggies all around the period in which she would have been 15 years old. Of course, we don’t want to name any names either BUT she plays the lead role in several of these movies. She also has love interests in several of them. So, we’ll leave that up to you to decide who had the nerve to think it was OK to call Chloe fat.
