Word spread like legit wildfire when Riverdale co-stars and on-screen couple Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart were spotted getting cozy at Comic-Con, basically confirming they’re an item in real life. Neither of the pair has publicly spoken out and the rumors one way or other, but after they were seem out on a date and Lili wrote the most heartwarming birthday message ever to Cole, it’s safe to say there is plenty of love between these two, that’s for sure. Well now another cast member is fanning the Sprousehart flames and it’s all just legit cuteness overload.

Skeet Ulrich, you know know as Jughead’s dad on the show, FP Jones, caught up with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of Netflix’s True and the Rainbow Kingdom and was told that Cole and Lili have been spending a lot of time together recently. In typical dad-like fashion, he could’t help but gush over the pair’s actual relationship and although he didn’t really seem to know too much about whether they’re actually an item, Skeet gave us some insight into how precious they really are together.

“Well, I know they spend time together because they’re at work all the time together,” Skeet said. “But, I’m not surprised. They have great chemistry and they’ve been at our house with a lot of the Riverdale people and they always enjoy each other’s company. So I wish them the best. You just hear them talking to each other like they’ve been best friends for 20 years. So it’s a good sign.”

STOP IT RIGHT NOW, that is just so pure and precious. Getting this inside scoop from someone who works so closely with Cole and Lili and you know, has legit insight into their relationship is enough to make fans’ hearts soar. So it’s technically not a flat-out confirmation that this love story is indeed actually happening, but we’ll take it as some sort of reassurance that Sprousehart is alive and well.

Cole and Lili did attend the 2017 Teen Choice Awards, along with the entire Riverdale cast, where the show totally swept, winning every category they were nominated in. Although they didn’t pose together just the two of them on the blue carpet, Lili did gush about her love for her cast and said she actually had a date to the show. Or rather a few dates.

“We’ve always been so close, so it’s just progressively getting closer and closer which is you know, amazing. I work with my best friends which is rare and again, these are my best friends. I’m here with my best friends. Can I say best friends one more time?” Lili said. “My date [tonight] is my cast.”

Aww, now that is quite adorable. Well, Season 2 will hopefully give us more Bughead moments to obsess over since IRL, the actors are keeping mum on their actual relationship. Is it October yet?
