In his newest flick, Me And Orson Welles, Zac Efron plays a 1930's aspiring actor whose talent is discovered by Orson Welles, the founder of the Mercery Theatre, on the eve of the opening of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. Claire Danes also stars as a perky production assistant who is Zac's love interest. "He's falling for the older woman," director Richard Linklater said. "She's [Claire Danes] taking him for a bit of a ride." Me And Orson Welles premieres September 9 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
