If you're as big of a Demi Lovato fan as we are over here at J-14, then you know she comes from a big family. Although she doesn't post on social media with them a ton, Demi has two sisters and one half-sister. In our opinions, they need a lot more recognition – so join us in breaking down each of Demi's sisters and their stories.
Madison De La Garza
Maddie is Demi's 15-year-old sister. Just like her big sis Demi, Maddie has been acting since a young age. Not only did see appear in Princess Protection Program and Sonny with a Chance, but she had a major role in Desperate Housewives from 2008 to 2012. As for what she's up to now, you can catch her on YouTube. From room tours to makeup tutorials, she really does it all. Maddie and Demi share the same mom, but they have different dads.
Dallas is Demi's older sister, and they share both a mom and dad. Fun fact – their mom, Dianna De La Garza, was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. So that's where her name came from. She does a lot of voice-over work and even made small appearances in Wizards of Waverly Place and Sonny With a Chance back in the day. What's crazy is her speaking voice sounds EXACTLY like Demi's – especially her laugh. Just watch Maddie's YouTube video with Dallas, and you'll see. If you close your eyes, you'd honestly think it's Demi talking.
Amber Smith is Demi's oldest sister, and they share a father – making them half siblings. But as it turns out, they weren't in contact with one another until later in life.
"I think my fans would be excited to learn that I just got to know I have an older sister that I've never known my whole life," Demi told Daily Mail in 2013. "I actually have a third sister that I didn't even know about until this year. She's in her thirties."
Demi talked to her for the very first time when she was 20 years old.
Demi added, "'I asked her "Why haven't you ever contacted me?" and she said 'I never wanted you to think that I ever wanted anything from you, so I've just kind of been waiting to see if you wanted a relationship.' I thought that was so incredible!"
Now, how do we become honorary sisters? Just saying.
