Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez have a rocky friendship, and they've seemingly been estranged ever since the "Really Don't Care" singer unfollowed her on Twitter. But some of her recent comments about the music industry definitely seem to be directed at her former bestie!
While appearing on Entertainment Tonight, she criticized singers who use their fame for nothing more than taking selfies and getting attention.
“If you live your whole career just singing and just taking pictures and just living in front of everyone — if you don’t use your voice for good, it’s actually a very vain and narcissistic career," she said.
Then, after "The Heart Wants What It Wants" debuted, she wrote a cryptic tweet about being happy for people you don't like, which people are speculating is about Selena.
Just when your mind finds resentment in someone, pray for their success, their health, and their happiness no matter how hard it may be. 🙏— Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) November 6, 2014

Of course, Demi is so successful that she has no reason to be jealous! She's been on tour most of the year, her relationship with Wilmer Valderrama is amazing, and she has a new album coming out in 2015. Even though we love Selena's new track, we're also obsessed with Demi's collaboration with Nick Jonas, "Avalanche." Plus, we think that the "Come and Get It" singer is really making an effort to focus on her personal growth, based on Taylor Swift's advice.
Do you think they have bad blood between them? Did she throw shade at Selena's singing career? Let us know in the comments!
