We loved that Ryan Adams covered Taylor Swift's 1989 like no one else and it seems the singer and songwriter was very inspired by the "Shake It Off" singer!
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Ryan compared Taylor to Shakespeare and also defended his vision of covering the album in a dark and folky manner.
According to the story, his cover of the album was born out of a sincere love of Swift’s music. He named White Horse, from 2008’s Fearless as the first song that truly moved him from Taylor's roster.
"The first time I heard it I got chills head to toe. I remember feeling shocked by her voice, shocked at how clean that song was. I like stuff that sort of penetrates through my regular consciousness and hits me where I’m not looking. That’s usually stuff that’s a little darker.”
We love Ryan's version of Taylor's album and are glad he's such a fan!
