Selena Gomez has been having a rough time lately — not only has she had recent drama with Demi Lovato and Justin Bieber, but Kylie and Kendall Jenner have reportedly been bashing her in public, too. Judging by her recent series of Instagram photos, we think it's safe to say that the starlet is feeling totally down!
Her first video in her latest Instagram posting spree was a short clip of herself playing a melancholy tune on a piano with the caption, "I don't know. I'm on my way you know."
It seemed like maybe she was showing us some (heartbreaking) new music, but soon after, Selena put up other photos that make us think that she's feeling totally isolated and alone. She posted a picture of comments with fans giving her advice, along with the caption "You're always listened to." Then, she posted by a moody-artistic selfie with the caption, "And usually always right."
Is she saying these words of encouragement to someone else or herself? It could be both, but it really sounds like a reminder to herself! Her fans gave her tons of encouragement in the screenshot she posted, telling Selena not to let "anything or anyone bring you down" and to "LET HIM GO!" (Obviously, the "him" means Justin.)
But the final photo from Selena's Instagram spree really tied everything together. She posted a screenshot of a text message with the wistful caption, "That's what you want to wake up to. #promise."
It's hard to tell what she meant by posting that. Is she trying to send a message to someone who's not treating her right? Or is she just giving major props to a special person in her life? Demi recently unfollowed Selena on Twitter because she couldn't deal with all the drama, and Jelena seems to be going through a rough patch, so maybe she's reminding herself that she deserves to be treated right.
Of course, we may never find out who sent Selena that text message. But we're glad that she's getting support from someone through her difficult time!
