We think it is safe to say the Dolan Twins are pretty open with their fans for the most part – but like most celebrities, there are certain things that they like to keep to themselves. That is, until they are ready to open up about it in front of their millions of social media followers. For Ethan Dolan, there is something that he just confessed to his fans that he was totally keeping a secret for quite a while, and it appears he is completely relieved to finally get it off his chest. Besides, it was honestly nothing to be ashamed of in the first place.
Ethan's spilled his secret in a video posted to the Dolan Twins' YouTube channel. Oh? And did we mention the fact that Ethan made this confession all while sitting in a hot tub? Yeah, that happened.
Ethan explained, "In some previous videos, you could tell that I messed up my face on our trampoline over there. Because my face was so messed up, I didn't want people to think I was as much of a freak – so I put makeup on my face."
It appears we weren't the only ones who didn't know about his makeup secret. His twin brother and partner-in-video-making-crime Grayson didn't seem to know about it either.
"I found makeup laying around! That was not my mom's makeup. That was your makeup," Grayson said, totally caught off guard over this confession his brother laid out.
Ethan clarified that their mom bought it for him, to which Grayson replied, "Did she put it on for you too?"
His response? "Yes!"
Can we just all stop for a second and take a moment to appreciate the fact that Ethan let his mom help him with his makeup? HOW. PRECIOUS.
"I know this one's not that big of a deal because it's 2017, and anyone can wear makeup," Ethan said. "It was a first time thing for me, and I feel like I just needed to get that off my chest. If you want to wear makeup, it doesn't really matter. Whatever makes you happy.
"F*** gender roles!" Gray chimed in.
They're so right. Wearing makeup is so not a girls vs. guys type of thing, and no one should ever be embarrassed about trying it out. Makeup should be used to express yourself and build your confidence if that's what you want to try out, no matter what your gender is.
