Dove Cameron has been rather busy slaying the game recently, with her upcoming television and movie roles, solo music on the way, getting into the beauty business with her line of hair extensions and just being madly in love with her bae, Thomas Doherty. Basically, girl is 100% living her best life at the moment and she's over here getting all of our hopes up for the most epic live-action movie that needs to happen now.
Dove was naturally tweeting back with her fans like always when she stumbled upon a tweet from social media stars Lucy and Lydia that brought up the genius idea that a live-action version of the animated classic Anastasia not only needs to happen, but Dove needs to play the lead role. With either Zac Efron or Harry Styles in the role of Dimitri, naturally. And in case you didn't know, Anastasia and Dimitri play love interests. This was something Dove just had to call out and acknowledge the brilliance of it.
OK, now can we just say a live-action version of the 1997 movie should've happened and the fact that it hasn't yet is just giving us hope it could actually be a thing now. With Dove starring in it, of course. Granted, the movie has been turned into a Broadway play that is currently running but still, who doesn't love a good flick based on an animated musical? Plus, now we can't help but think about how EPIC it would be for Zac or Harry to be her co-star. Zac is obviously a musical pro with Disney Channel roots like Dove and she's already co-starred with Corbin Bleu, another High School Musical alum. So major case of the feels already. But just imagine Harry returning to the big screen after his debut in Dunkirk in a legit musical played a beloved character? We already can't handle it. And since Dove has teased us all plenty of times about her upcoming, super exciting projects, we just need this movie to happen and be another cool movie she gets to be a part of. Plus, that would mean Dove with red hair. We're ready for it.
