Dylan Dauzat was super bummed yesterday when his debut EP Magnetic wasn't released on time. The Vine star told his fans that'd it be on iTunes by the end of the day, but it never actually became available. We chatted with Dylan about the whole ordeal earlier today and he said that the slow release has to do with iTunes, and is unfortunately out of his control.
"Apparently iTunes didn't get it polished up fast enough," he told us as he checked his phone to see if iTunes had contacted him (he checked his cell at least 20 times while he was in our office).
"It took months to get that EP up and ready. I've been so busy and it's been so chaotic getting everything ready for the rest of the year," he said. "We weren't planning on releasing it [so soon], but because DigiTour was a last minute thing, we were like, 'Oh wait we have to get this up soon, like two days before DigiFest comes.'"
Dylan's incredibly excited for his fans to hear what he's been working on! The singer has four songs on his EP – "Magnetic," "Shine," "Blue Eyed Dime," and "Celebrating" – and they tell the story of his life.
"All of [the songs] have their own different meaning about different life experiences that I have or what I'm going through," he said. "So [fans] can get to know who I am a little bit more."
