With Directioners still reeling from the news that One Direction is likely taking an extended break, it may come as a shock that Ed Sheeran also wants a little hiatus — but his isn't as extreme. According to The Mirror, he's planning on taking a hiatus to volunteer at a thrift shop in his hometown and help his community. The "Thinking Out Loud" singer is reportedly in talks to create a new youth center there as well.
The newspaper spoke to the manager of the store, who gave every indication that he'd swing by on his break and help out.
“There’s a good possibility he will volunteer here. We’d welcome him. My volunteers, who are aged between 61 and 91, know Ed because he was brought up in the town. They would be fine working with him," she said.

“He purchased the old police station to open up a youth club for £1million, so he’ll also be helping there when its up and running. I think he will draw the youngsters into our shop which would be good for us.”
It really is nice to see Ed giving back! Maybe he's feeling a little too burnt out from touring life too? A rest at home could be just what he needed.
