We chatted with Chris Zylka from Shark Night 3D, and asked him about filming and his character, Blake. We talked to Chris about his role in The Amazing Spider-Man, which will be out next summer.
J-14: Tell us a little about your character Blake.
Chris: Blake is the bit overconfident jock that plays football at college. Blake is the guy that everyone's nice to in front of his face because of his popularity and his stature, but they make fun of him behind his back.
J-14: You got to jet-skiin the movie, was this your first time?
Chris: I had previously rode jet skis back home in Ohio, but I had never ridden a brand new one that is all souped up and in Ohio there are no bayous so it was really cool flying down in these little crevices and it was great.
J-14: Did you become close with any of your costars?
Chris: This ensemble, from Day One, it was a very special bond. We're all friends to this day, we have poker nights, and we all hang out all the time whenever we're not working. At least in my opinion, I can't single any one person out, they were all wonderful.
J-14: You just finished filming The Amazing Spider-Man as well. Can you tell me a little about Flash Thompson, your character?
Chris: I cannot. You can read the comic books or wait for it to come out next year. It is very top secret!
J-14: What was it like working with Andrew Garfield?
Chris: It was a wonderful, wonderful experience. Andrew is such a talented, talented actor and to be able to create moments with him was really nice. I think he is going to bring something to the film that everyone is going to fall in love with instantly.
