Nick Jonas was given the Hero Award at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards for his work about spreading awareness about diabetes, a disease he has been battling since he was first diagnosed when he was 13 years old. The singer walked the red carpet with a group of children who are also struggling with the same condition, and he brought them up on stage when he was receiving his award.
