This weekend Nick Jonas posted a link to a one of his new songs, "Area Code." Since then, fans have been noticed something about the lyrics.
In the song, Nick says, "You say I never been good for you / You can't deny I gave it good to you."
Some are saying that the lines are referencing Selena Gomez!
His lyrics, specifically where he says, "good for you," is in reference to Selena's most recent single "Good For you."
According to HollywoodLife.com, a source has said that Selena had no idea he would reference her in his song, but she isn't upset by it.
“Selena isn’t too disheartened. In fact, she thinks it’s fair game. It would be hypocritical of her to slam someone for writing about their past love-life experiences considering she’s written songs directed at her former boyfriends. It’s the creative right of an artist, and Selena understands that better than anyone.”
We're so happy Selena is being understanding. We wouldn't want things to get awkward between the two.
Do you think it was weird for Nick to make the reference? Let us know in the comments.
