After spending months waiting for more episodes of Riverdale, we’re finally in the midst of Season 2. Things are seriously ramping up and we only end up with more questions at the end of each episode. With so much going on, you won't want to miss a single episode. Here's when to know when Riverdale hits the airwaves.
Is Riverdale on tonight?
The CW's hit TV show will be gracing our television sets starting at its normal time. Rain or shine, you'll be able to devour all the drama Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. This week is the mid-season finale, which has its pros and cons.
On one hand, tonight's episode is bound to be full of ups and downs, crazy twists, and a lot of drama. While trying to find her Christmas presents, Veronica Lodge discovers that her father, Hiram, has been keeping a major secret from her. Get ready because tonight might be the night we finally find out who the Black Hood is. It's a holiday episode with its own Riverdale twist.
"We are heading into the mid-season finale. Archie, Betty, Jughead and Veronica have been through a crucible. They have been through the fires. The truth of the season is that they've been under huge psychological and emotional stress, particularly Archie and Betty. Archie's father was shot in front of him. That's not something that you step away from easily. Betty was in a psychological cat and mouse [game] with the Black Hood for several episodes. That is also something you don't shake loose," Robert Aguirre-Sacasa told TV Guide.
"Both of their relationships seem to be imploding at around the same time. These two kids who are in way over their heads, as they both are, as we've seen from their actions, look at each other from across the window and it's for solace, comfort, maybe something more. It feels like they are both lost at sea and they are looking at each other, 'Are you my life preserver?'"
Hopefully, there's enough drama this episode to last a lifetime! After tonight, Riverdale is going on a break!
When does Riverdale come on?
Riverdale appears on The CW every Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. Due to the holidays, Riverdale is taking a few weeks off after this week. In fact, it won't be back on the air until January 17, 2018. It seems like forever and a day, but at least it's not as long as the wait between Season 1 and 2.
This isn't the first time Riverdale has taken some time off. For Thanksgiving 2017, the show was bumped by a week to accommodate the iHeart Radio Music Festival special.
Miss a week or just can't get enough of the Black Hood drama? Catch up using these handy season 2 recaps or stream older episodes of the show on Hulu and on Netflix. Trust us, you won’t want to miss a thing.
