One of the highlights of my weeks is going on Zach Sang's Goom radio show, Zach Sang and the Student Body on Zang Radio. I first met Zach years ago at a J-14 InTune event -- and he's been a longtime support of J-14... plus he's one of my fave people to talk teen pop culture with.
But if you caught last Wednesday's show, you may have heard us get in a little tiff about what teen girls like better: Solo artists or boy bands?
Zach's certain it's solo artists and I'm quite certain (from personal experience! ;) ), it's boy bands and groups. Goom Radio's Shelley Rome was on my side, but Zach was adamant.
How did this all start? We were talking about whether Cody Simpson's "iYiYi" or Burnham's "Catch Me If You Can" is a catchier song... tough choice, right? We couldn't decide, so we put up a poll and Zach's guess was right: Cody won in the J-14 poll.
But that sparked a conversation about why he won...
Zach's take: Girls like solo artists because there's no stress about which guy to like better.
My take: Girls like boy bands and groups better because there's more guys to choose from -- so there's more of a chance you could actual date one of them and you don't have to fight over a fave member with your BFF!
So this set off the first-ever Sang Vs. Chang Battle... and we want to know what you think!
