Hi J-14ers!
As if being an editor at J-14 Magazine isn't cool enough, one of the perks of the job is scoring invites to absolutely incredible events, like Rob Pattinson's Water for Elephants red carpet premiere at the Zegfield Theater in New York City last weekend!
First off, full disclosure: When I read the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I completely fell in love with Cedric Diggory (yes, the character... don't judge- ha! ;)). And the moment I first saw that this newcomer Rob Pattinson was cast, I fell even more in love. I was lucky enough to interview him way back then -- and he was just so charming and polite with his British accent.
And as Rob's career has grown through The Twilight Saga films and movies like Remember Me, I've just been so impressed with how level-headed and down-to-earth he's remained throughout it all.

Yet he still managed to impress me again last week at the Water for Elephants premiere. Unlike most other big-name stars who show up last minute and rush into the theater, Rob arrived a good 45 minutes EARLY. Why? To make sure he had time to meet all the fans. He took his time working his way down the line of fans -- signing autographs and posing for photos. Awwww.... so sweet!
And not just that, he did the same thing as he went down the press line. While many movie stars look at what outlet they're talking to before they open their mouths, Rob treated everyone from the major TV programs to the fan blogs -- and of course J-14 Magazine -- all the same. How can you not love the guy?

Probably one of the other most endearing things was that Rob's entire family -- his mom, dad, and sisters Lizzy and Victoria -- also came to show their support. In fact, one of the highlights of the night was definitely as we were walking away from the theater, we happened to pass by the hotel that the Pattinsons were staying at as they were getting in a car. Rob's dad gave us the biggest smile and the most charming "Hi!" It's no wonder Rob's such a true gentleman -- like father, like son!
