J-14 Exclusive: Five Things You Need to Know About Tom Andrews


Ellen DeGeneres just announced that in addition to Greyson Chance, she will be adding Tom Andrews, a 16-year-old from the U.K., to her record label, eleveneleven.

Tom stopped by the J-14 office a few weeks ago and we knew in that moment that he was destined to be a star. Check out five things you need to know about this British cutie:

1. He only started singing three years ago! "My mom saw this advert in the local newspaper for a singing competition so I entered it," he tells J-14.

2. He recorded an album in eight weeks in New York City over the summer -- his dream! "I've always loved New York and I've always wanted to come to New York!"

3. Katy Perry's producers and more want to work with him! "Adam Lambert and One Republic's producer [also] wanted to work with me."

4. Lady Gaga is one of his musical influences. "Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, Freddie Mercury, Elton John, The Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Queen,and people like that," he tells us.

5. He writes his own songs. "I have at least co-written pretty much all of them."
