YouTube sensation Ryan Beatty first became famous for his awesome covers -- but now he's getting in on the action with his just-released music video for his first single "Every Little Thing." Recently, Ryan called us up to chat about his brand new single and music video, which just premiered on RyanSeacrest.com, and to spill all the details about filming, his upcoming album and what he looks for in a girl! J-14: First of all, how did you get your start? Ryan Beatty: I used to have a YouTube channel with my sister, but we didn't get too many views, so I finally decided just to make my own channel last February. And it's come a long way!
J-14: We can't get enough of your new single "Every Little Thing!" What was it like filming your first music video ever? Ryan: The director came up with the concept for the video and I loved the idea of it. I loved the fact that it was very simple and that's what the song itself is. But filming my first music video was nerve-wracking -- I didn't know what to expect!
J-14: How about your costar in the video? Did you get any say in who would play your love interest? Ryan: I actually didn't see the girl until the day of the music video, so I didn't pick the girl. But I was definitely pleased! She's a very pretty girl, I have to say.
J-14: Were you involved in writing "Every Little Thing?" Ryan: It was a give and take process. The day I walked into the studio, I knew I was going to be helping write and when [the other writer] played the chords for "Every Little Thing," I was like, "I really like that!" So he'd give some ideas and I'd give some ideas. It's the perfect first single to show people the style of my music!
J-14: And now for the most important thing: Are you single? And if so, what do you look for in a girl? Ryan: Right now I'm trying to focus on my music so I don't have a girlfriend. I don't have a type though, like girls with red hair or brown hair, or anything. I just like someone who can make me laugh! Someone who I look forward to seeing and who has an amazing personality.
