The J-14 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 Countdown continues!
Today, we're revealing fun facts you never knew about James and Oliver Phelps, a.k.a. Fred and George Weasley!
Four Things You Didn't Know About James and Oliver Phelps
1. They were totally unprepared for their first Harry Potter audition.
"There were loads of guys there with huge portfolios from acting schools and we turned up with nothing," James says. "We didn't even have shirts that matched because we never ever wore the same thing, apart from our school uniform. So we quickly legged it over to the nearest department store and just grabbed two shirts off the rack!"
2. Oliver is 13 minutes older than James.
Oliver says you can definitely tell he's the older brother because he's "a bit more sensible than James." You can also tell the twins apart by the mole on the right side of Oliver's neck --Â James doesn't have one.
3. They're pranksters in real life too!
"[After filming the Deathly Hallows scene in which George loses an ear,] we were at the pub with our mates and we mentioned there had been a bit of an accident at work," James says. "Oliver had a beanie covering his ear, and one guy was like, 'What happened?' I go, 'Look at this [pulls beanie off]!' Oliver's costume was all bloody!"
4. They don't think of Rob Pattinson as a superstar.
Oliver and James worked with Rob when he played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. "I didn't realize how big Rob was until we came to America and I'd say eighty percent of the magazines there have his face on the cover," Oliver says. James adds, "It's quite surreal for us!"
