J-14 is scouting out the hottest bands around… and this week's pick is Relient K!

Here are five things you need to know about Relient K, whose album, Forget And Not Slow Down, is out now!

1-The band is named after a car — the Plymouth Reliant K — but they changed the spelling to "Relient K."

2- They're currently on a headlining tour called "A Three Hour Tour" with opening acts Copeland and Barcelona.

3- There are lessons to be learned in their songs! Guitarist Matt Hoopes says, "The songs that tend to be the fan favorites in the past are the ones about making mistakes but ultimately moving past them. And this record has a lot of that feeling. No matter what trials and tribulations you encounter in your life, it doesn't have to be the end of your story. You can move on and be happy and experience joy."

4- A couple of years ago, Relient K also released a Christmas album called Let it Snow, Baby… Let it Reindeer, which has super fun versions of "Deck the Halls" and "12 Days of Christmas."

5- The week the album came out, the band tweeted, "Thanks for all the kind reviews of the new jams. Spread the word on sandwiches nation wide."
