J14.com's back with our new column... Lessons from Lyrics: Great Advice from Your Fave Songs!
For many years the band The Script has been popular overseas. This Irish group, made up of lead singer Danny O'Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power, blend together pop, rock and R&B music. They got their start in their home country of Ireland, and found fame in Canada, as well as the UK. In America however, they didn't see any real success until the release of their newest single, "Breakeven", which sold over one million copies in the United States.
Their songs are powerful, full of soul, and provide listeners with catchy lyrics and melodies. The band's current success has allowed them the opportunity to start working on a second album, and in the fall begin their first headlining tour around the US.

Lyrics: "You got his heart and my heart and none of the pain, you took your suitcase, I took the blame. Now I'm tryna make sense of what little remains, oh. 'Cuz you left me with no love, with no love to my name."
Lesson Learned: Although the end of some relationships can be bitter, it is important to think of your partner's emotions as well as your own. Sometimes a breakup is very one-sided, and that one person moves on right away. This leaves the other person with not only the hurt of the break up, but also the pain of seeing their ex with someone else. If they are put in this situation, all of their love and emotions go towards their ex, and they are left feeling nothing. When a relationship ends, you must never flaunt a new relationship in your ex's face, since it is very likely that they are still struggling with the heartache of your breakup.
