The full cast of the live-action remake of Aladdin was announced at the weekend, and we are over the bloody moon with excitement. For the full line-up of cast, click here – but we couldn’t help but notice one of our fave gals and all-round babe Jade Thirlwall was missing from the list. She was shortlisted to play Jasmine, something that was even rumored to threaten her future in Little Mix, but the part was given to Naomi Scott.
And now it looks like Jade has thrown a little bit of shade Disney’s way, and she’s posted a veeeery cryptic Instagram picture. The picture is of her holding a gun that has a banner saying “over it," and many of her followers took this to be directed at the casting decision.
One wrote: “Sure Aladdin will regret not choosing you gurlll…… you may not be princess jasmine but always a princess to your mixers keep slaying gurl”, and another: “You Will Always Princess Jasmine Love”.
