Joey King made her Emmy Awards debut at the 2018 ceremony last night, and she looked absolutely stunning while walking the red carpet with designer Zac Posen. The 19-year-old actress slayed the red carpet wearing one of Zac’s gowns, and the plum color of her dress was next level. But there was one sparkly accessory that had heads spinning for a minute: a giant, diamond ring that looked a lot like a potential engagement ring!
So here’s what happened: Joey’s makeup artist, Allan Avendaño, shared a gorgeous snap he took of Joey before she headed off to the show. Her makeup looked flawless – as Allan is a true master – but in the pic, the giant ring that looks like it’s on her left hand took center stage.
We all know Joey is happily dating her The Kissing Booth co-star Jacob Elordi, although there was some speculation they might’ve split. But actually, they’re still going strong and recently walked the red carpet together at Variety’s Annual Power of Young Hollywood Event, looking cute AF.
So does this mean wedding bells are ringing for the starlet and her 21-year-old bae? Well, before we get too excited, that doesn’t seem to be what’s going on here. See, in more red carpet pics from the Emmys of Joey and Zac walking the red carpet together, it’s clear that the show-stopping ring she’s wearing was actually on her right hand, not her left.
In the selfie Allan posted, it most likely was just reflecting back looking like it was on her left ring finger, the spot where an engagement ring goes. Just a photo reversing the image on us! But there was a recent proposal in the king family, with Joey’s older sister Hunter getting engaged to her boyfriend in August. Joey is clearly in no rush to get married – but hey, whenever that day comes, we know she’s going to be the most stunning bride, that’s for sure!
