Julia Michaels had a pretty memorable 2017, with her debut single "Issues" becoming one of the biggest hits of the year. As many fans already know, she's a master songwriter and has co-written a slew of rather impressive hits like Justin Bieber's "Sorry," tons of songs with Selena Gomez including "Bad Liar" and "Hands to Myself," "Miss Movin' On" for Fifth Harmony, "Love Myself" for Hailee Steinfeld, "Used to Love You" for Gwen Stefani, "Fire Starter" for Demi Lovato, "Slumber Party" for Britney Spears and so many more. Seriously, she's magic and has a way of creating bangers, along with her frequent songwriting partner Justin Tranter.

But before Julia became one of the most sought-after songwriters in the game who is now a Grammy-nominated artist, she was a teenage professional songwriter. And she just so happened to co-write another jam: "Can't Do It Without You." Yes, as in the theme song to the beloved Disney Channel series, Austin & Ally. Julia said she was legit sitting in math class when she found out her song had been chosen as the theme for the show. Can you even imagine? Let's take a listen to it again:

So while it may be Ross Lynch, Austin Moon himself who sings the song to us all, it's Julia and her two co-writers who came up with it. And honestly, that chorus is catchy AF:

"There's no way I could make it without you
Do it without you
Be here without you
It's no fun when you're doin' it solo
With you it's like whoa
Yeah and I know
that I own this dream
Cause I got you with me
There's no way I can make it without you
Do it without you
Be here without you"

Now 24 years old, the show premiered in 2011, so Julia was around 18 years old when she had this big break. How cool is that? And she's still close friends with Laura Marano, even appearing on Laura's Radio Disney show.

So there we have it. Now we know we have Julia to thank for one of the catchiest Disney Channel theme songs ever and it was the kickstarting moment to her amazing career she's had so far.
