Payton Wall, a girl from New Jersey who lost her father in the attacks on 9/11/01, started a letter-writing campaign to meet Justin Bieber because Payton says that Justin's music has helped ease the pain of her loss. Payton even wrote a letter to President Obama, who read the letter in May and said that he would help arrange a meeting between Payton and Justin. And finally on Thursday, June 23, Payton's biggest wish came true when she (photo, left), along with her sister Avery and best friend Madison Robertson, got to meet Justin at his fragrance launch at Macy's in New York City, just moments after he was attacked by an undercover police officer.

"He just said 'Hi,'" Payton says. "He was asking us about the perfume and if we were wearing it." And Avery adds, "He was really nice and is so cute. He didn't even look real."
The girls, who also carried a cardboard cutout of President Obama, got to chat with Justin and take pictures with him before he had to leave to go support his girlfriend Selena Gomez at the Monte Carlo premiere.
