Justin Bieber's music video for "Where Are Ü Now" is finally out, and he didn't miss a chance to throw shade at Selena Gomez! The singer included a Jelena reference in the Diplo and Skrillex-produced project, and it will crush fans' hopes that they're getting back together.
The screenshot shows the words "Jelena 5ever" crossed out, with "I want you to know" written over it. In case you've forgotten, that's the name of Selena's song with her rumored boyfriend Zedd. Yikes!
While the message only flashes on the screen for a second (around the 3:41 mark), it seemingly confirms that the former couple's tumultuous romance is over for good.
However, we're not sure that he actually wrote this. The video shows a whole bunch of fans doing the doodling — for all we know, he had no say in drawing it. But we're shocked he still included that message! It seems like he may be confirming that their relationship is never coming back.
There's also a shot of the singer with the question "where are you Selena?" written by his face.
As for the rest of the video, it's intense and mature, showing the singer at his most sensitive. Even though it's a little bit trippy, with a bunch of scribbled imagery rapidly flashing over Justin, it's pretty cool. And we'll give him mad props for impressing us with his dancing, even though he's crushing our Jelena dreams.
