Miley Cyrus Says Katy Perry Song "I Kissed A Girl" About Her

Who knew that Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus have been friends for almost 10 years now?

The "Malibu" singer has been busy doing promo for her newest single and she isn't holding anything back. She's opened up about her relationship with Liam Hemsworth, why she never thought she would write this song three years ago and how "Wrecking Ball" will literally haunt her forever. Now, she's talking about her relationship with Katy and it might shock some people. Well, it might shock a lot of people.

Miley chatted with KTU’s Cubby and Carolina Show and said about her famous bestie, "She’s been a friend of mine for a really long time. We were actually just realizing the other day that next year, we’ll have been friends for 10 years. I think that’s my friend that I’ve known the longest. Which is really, really weird."

Not only that though, Miley revealed that Katy's song "I Kissed a Girl" is about her. Wait, what. Miley continued, "When [Katy] came out with 'I Kissed a Girl,' I was doing the Hannah Montana movie, and I heard her on the radio. They said, 'Who did you write that about?' She said me! I screamed and started freaking out, and then she asked me to go to the VMAs with her. That’s when I started doing my whole VMA controversy. I was like, 'I’ll go with Katy Perry!' So that’s how we met and we just stayed friends."

Okay, that is one heck of a story! When Katy first released the song, fans never guessed it would be about Miley. Some thought it was actually about Scarlett Johansson but Katy never confirmed that rumor. Probably, because it wasn't true! Now, we have the real story and it's even better than what we could have imagined.

It's clear that Miley and Katy started their friendship AFTER the song was written. But, that doesn't mean the lyrics don't hold true. Miley and Katy did lip lock and they liked it during Miley's Bangerz tour.
