The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards nominees have officially been announced! Katy Perry leads the pack with nine award nominations including Video of the Year, with Adele and Kayne West tied in a close second with seven nominations.
This isn't the first time Katy and Adele have gone head-to-head. In 2009, the two pop sirens faced off at the Grammy's for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Although Adele walked away with the gold, it looks like Katy's back with a vengeance.
Other stars that scored VMA nominations include Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and Lady Gaga.
Starting now, you can vote once a day for your favorite stars on mtv.com. The 2011 VMAs will air live on Sunday, August 28 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
