Despite their super secretive pregnancy, Liam Payne and Cheryl are being really quite open about their 11-week-old baby.

Well, Liam is anyway.

He's been doing loads of interviews over the past few weeks to promote his new single, "Strip That Down," but has also been letting slip some cute little anecdotes about his newborn baby Bear.

Earlier this month, he revealed that the name Bear had been totally Cheryl's idea, and only last week confessed that they have even spoken about having more children together. EEK!

With each interview, Liam has praised Cheryl for how well she is doing and how she is managing to do everything all on her own.

And in his latest admission, that seems to be the case once again.

Speaking to the MailOnline at Glamour's Women of the Year Awards last night, he gushed over his girlfriend's natural ability with the newborn, admitting that Cheryl has already got Bear to sleep through the night.

He said: "Cheryl's got him in a sleeping pattern already, we're getting seven hours of sleep a night. Everyone's saying have you not slept much and I don't want to say it's because I'm out partying."

But he went on to add very sweetly: "He's the best thing that's ever happened to me. She's the best mum in the world so I couldn't have picked a better woman to do it with."

The 23-year-old singer also spoke to Mark Heyes for Lorraine at the awards, praising Cheryl as "mum of the year."

He said: "Every day's a learning curve, it's been really, really great. Cheryl has been amazing, she's been literally the best mum in the world. That's all I can ask for.

"Obviously she's supported me going off and doing my thing with my career and stuff, but she literally has been the mum of the year, she's amazing."

But Liam wasn't done – he went on to say: "Look after the women in your life because, honestly, what I've learned more than anything about being a dad is how hard it is to be a mum. It's such a hard thing, she hasn't had any help from anybody, she's done it all herself and I think she’s truly amazing."

Aww, what a sweet thing to say! You've redeemed yourself, Liam!
