Let’s face it, a lot has changed in the lives of One Direction since the boys decided to take their hiatus. Fans have also gotten to see a whole new side to Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne thanks to all the solo music they’ve released. Now that the year is coming to a close, Payno has been looking back at all of his biggest moments in 2017, which have included the birth of his son Bear with Cheryl Cole.

The “Bedroom Floor” singer is also looking back on what he’s learned throughout the year as a solo artist, and the challenges of performing without having the rest of the boys to lean on. Liam wrote in a post shared on Instagram, “I've got to perform to some amazing crowds this year, starting with 80,000 people at Wembley Stadium! With the boys you had the chance to bounce off each other, when you’re on your own it’s just you and you have to get out and just do it! Each venue was different but the crowds brought it and helped me give the best performances I could!”

Obviously he misses being able to bounce off the boys while on stage, but being on his own has been one huge learning experience too. The “Strip That Down” singer also shared his final favorite moment of the year, and it was accepting a 2017 Brit Award that the guys won for video of the year. He wrote, “Last and final memory of this year is going up and accepting the Brit award on behalf of my band knowing we‘ve still got it! ?? Happy new year everybody!”

Without a doubt 2017 has been a huge year for each of the guys, and we just know 2018 is going to be even better. There’s so much to look forward to, including the possibility of solo albums from Payno and Tommo — and we honestly can’t wait.
