Liam Payne talking about One Direction is enough to brighten up anyone's day, but if you add puppies into the mix then things just get taken to a whole new level. Well, that's exactly what the lovely people over at Buzzfeed did when Liam sat down for an interview with them and yes, some truly adorable puppies. And while he was having the time of his life bonding with the pooches — especially one named Pete who wouldn't leave his lap — Liam spilled some 1D tea that will warm your heart right up. But first, let us marvel at the gem that is Pete the Puppy.

Pete never left Liam, cuddling up to him the entire time the "Strip That Down" singer was sharing all of these precious 1D memories.

We would all react the same way, Pete. Goals right there. Now back to the matter at hand here: a 1D reunion. According to Liam, a reunion needs to happen because they have some unfinished business together.

"Yes, I think we will reunite at some point in the future. We have to — I mean we’ve got an album we haven’t even toured yet, and I want to write some more songs as well with the boys," Liam said.

So basically he's aware 1D owes the fans a proper Made In the A.M. tour and he wants to work with them all again. Be still our hearts. They're all currently busy living that solo life right now and when he was asked who from his bandmates he could see himself collaborating with, he threw a bit of a curveball and said none other than former member Zayn Malik. He also has the most precious music video in mind for this hypothetical duet too.

"I think I would collaborate best with Zayn because we do really similar types of music. And I would like our music video to be right here with these puppies, because this is too much fun right now," he said.

ZAYN, THE GUY WHO UP AND LEFT THE BAND. OK LIAM, SURE. If anything, Liam is right: Zayn's made a more R&B-infused album and this is the lane Liam is heading down too. So musically, it's a good fit. Plus, this reassures that there isn't any bad blood between the guys if Liam is happily willing to work with Z again, along with some puppies. A truly joyous occasion. The precious 1D conversation didn't stop there though. Liam took us all down memory lane when he spoke about his favorite career memories so far, which are all about some iconic times in One Direction's band history.

"My favorite part about touring with the boys was when we were younger, we used to spend a lot of time together on the tour bus. When we did our first American tour, we had a really tiny, small bus, so it was just a lot of fun, just hanging out. And it was like, I don’t know, that was the time when we got to know each other best," Liam shared. "My favorite [career] memory was when we first did Madison Square Garden. We popped out of the floor and it was just the most amazing feeling ever, knowing that we were in Madison Square Garden. And our album — we’d just broke the record for debuting at #1 on the charts, so that was a real fun memory of mine."

This is all too much. He even spoke about being proud AF of Harry's role in the blockbuster movie Dunkirk, which he has plans to go to the movie theater to see with some of his favorite people.

"I think honestly he’s really, really suited to the job, and Harry’s really good at what he does. And I wanted to congratulate him on his massive moment! Like, being in a Christopher Nolan action film — how amazing! Super cool," Liam said in reference to the sweet tweet he sent out to Hazza when the movie had its premiere. "I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m planning on having a little event with my team and some of my family and going down and all of us watching it together because I wanna make sure it’s in a nice setting. I haven’t been to a cinema in ages, and I like going to the cinema."

OK Liam, you're legit slaying our souls right now. He's giving us out 1D fix and we are forever grateful. Oh and we can't forget about our boy Pete the Puppy. These two legit bonded during this interview and you need to witness this magic for yourself. Check out the full interview below:
