The Life Sentence TV show release date has been pushed back — but at least it's coming out in 2018. The former star of the Freeform drama Pretty Little Liars, Lucy Hale, is gearing up to premiere her new TV show. This time on The CW, Lucy will hit the screen with co-star Carlos PenaVega. And it was just announced that the show will premiere on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.
Life Sentence tells the story of a girl with terminal cancer. When she finds out that her cancer is cured, Stella has to deal with all the stuff she didn't when she lived like she was dying. Lucy stars as Stella, and Carlos from Big Time Rush appears to be her sister's partner in the trailer.
The CW originally announced that Life Sentence would premiere in January 2018, which isn't too far away. Back in August 2017, Lucy took to Twitter to share the exciting news, along with a cute promo photo. What better way to start off a new year than with a fun comedy starring some of our faves? Well, the wait is going to last a little longer — but not too much longer.
That means we have to wait a few more months to see the new TV show. On the bright side, the lineup includes the CW classics The 100 and The Originals! Life Sentence will likely be a nice break from those two dramas.
On November 7, 2017, Lucy herself tweeted that there is an official premiere date, but she's not spilling. So, no matter when the show comes out, at least we have a guarantee that it's coming.
The cast and crew were still shooting as of November. Lucy's on-screen husband Wes, played by British actor Elliot Knight, is just one of the cast members who shared photos from set in Vancouver.
2018 is bound to be an exciting year for TV. We may be saying goodbye to a few of our all-time favorites, like the Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals, but at least we get to say hello to shows like Life Sentence.
