As everyone knows, the ladies of Little Mix – Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson, do not hold back when it comes to using their past relationships as inspiration for new music.
The most obvious example of this is of course, Zayn Malik being the muse behind the group’s smash, “Shout Out to My Ex.” Which Jesy Nelson pretty much confirmed last week after the group picked up a 2017 BRIT Award for British Single of the Year.
Knowing the girls don’t hold back, would worry any guy dating one of the ladies, and it’s something that’s been on the mind of Perrie’s boyfriend, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Arsenal star spoke with UK’s The Sun over the weekend, and joked that he’s worried he’ll become the subject of another hit song from the ladies if things don’t work out between him and Perrie.
“I better watch out! I don't want her to become an ex and sing about me,” he jokingly said.
“Probably something about Arsenal being rubbish. I better look after her,” Alex continued to explain.
It’s also the first time in the press at least, that one of the two has publicly addressed their relationship. We all know that a while back, the two confirmed they were together on Instagram and haven’t been afraid to show off their relationship since then.
Alex was even with Perrie at the awards ceremony, and she shared an adorable picture of the two looking very dapper.
Of course it’s obvious he was poking fun at the whole situation, but based on what he had to say – it looks like Perrie has a great guy beside her. Clearly, Alex wants the best for his girlfriend and isn’t worried a single bit over the constant talk of her ex due to the song.
