Aside from talent, one of the things each member of One Direction — except for Niall Horan — share are tattoos. Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson have gotten so many throughout the years that it’s become a bit of a challenge to not only keep track of how many they have, but also know when their obsession with getting inked began.
Though for Tommo, he can remember exactly when and where he was when he started getting the itch for more tats, and it all began with 1D. In a new interview the “Back to You” singer dished on the fateful day the guys, except for Niall, decided to get inked together. It also was in that moment that Louis became obsessed with memorializing important moments on his body. He said, “I’ve definitely got some silly ones. I don’t know. We decided, well most of us actually except for Niall, as a band to get these little ones on our ankle and then I suppose I just started getting addicted.”
Tommo has dished about his tats in the past, and even used to share pictures of some with his fans on social media when the guys were still a band. The “Just Hold On” singer most recently got the letter “E” for girlfriend Eleanor Calder on his hand, and back in the day shared a picture of the cup of tea he got inked a few years ago under his LOL-worthy “oops” tattoo.
No matter how big, small or silly all of Louis’ tattoos tell an important story about a certain chapter in his life. He’s opened up about them in the past, but just an idea — maybe he should lay them all out for fans and explain the meaning behind them, if he wants to of course. No denying Directioners would definitely love that.
