It would be easy to assume that since One Direction decided to go on hiatus, the group of guys – Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, and Niall Horan have fallen out of touch with one another. Especially since so many big things are happening in each of their lives, such as embarking on solo music careers, acting, and even starting a family.

If it already hadn’t been obvious to Directioners, the guys are still on pretty good terms with each other – even if they don’t constantly speak.

The guys were there for Louis after the heartbreaking loss of his mother, and were there to support his first solo performance which happened just days after.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the “Just Hold On,” singer confirmed that the guys are all still close by admitting, “people love to write what they want to write but there’s no bitterness.”

As usual, Louis was also asked about the group’s hiatus and how long it’s expected to last. The break was recently addressed when the group won the 2017 BRIT Award for British Video of the Year, and now Louis is expanding on what was said that night.

“Everyone’s just enjoying a schedule that’s not as relentless and exploring solo projects,” the singer explained during the interview.

Louis also opened up about the kind of solo music fans can expect, and revealed that although he is going to be leaning towards a more dance inspired album he, “wanted to do something that was different enough to One Direction, but not too far away that it’s going to alienate the One Direction fans.”

Though no matter what kind of music Louis decides to put out, it’s going to be an absolute hit. We’re also glad to see there are no hard feelings between the guys either.
