UPDATE

So, apparently, according to Miles Teller himself, he was not arrested in San Diego, California over the weekend. The actor sent out a series of tweets saying that he was just detained and we shouldn't believe everything we read.

He said, "Went down to SD to see my buddy before he deployed. I wasn't arrested I was detained bc there was no evidence to charge me with a crime."

A Twitter user replied to Miles' tweet and tagged the San Diego police claiming that they said he was detained, taking to a detox center and was completely uncooperative. Something clearly doesn't add up here.

Miles tweeted again, "Don't believe everything you read, especially from a third party entertainment news source trying to get clicks. Appreciate the concern."

Twitter followers have responded to that tweet saying police said he was arrested and public records show that as well. However, these followers didn't show proof of that or a quote from police.

Lastly, Miles said, "I blame Shore Club."

Shore Club is most likely the place he spent hanging out with his friends and the cause of his visible intoxication.

If you break the law, there will be consequences. The Divergent actor Miles Teller found this out over the weekend after he was arrested for being publicly intoxicated following a night out with friends. TMZ is reporting that he was actually given a chance to get himself together and avoid being handcuffed by police, but Miles was uncooperative.

Sources are saying that San Diego, California – the location where Miles was stopped by law enforcement – actually has a detox program. It's basically a place where police take people who have had too much to drink and instead of arresting them, this program allows the person to sleep for awhile until they have sobered up. It's run by volunteers in the area.

The police reportedly asked Miles to go to the center but he refused. They took him anyway and because he wouldn't follow directions, the staff of volunteers kicked him out. It was after all of that when Miles was arrested. He was apparently in jail for four hours and released on bail.

Sources are telling TMZ that Miles was falling down, couldn't find his balance and almost fell into a traffic lane. Not only that but he couldn't stand in one spot. The actor was allegedly uncooperative with police from the start. Being uncooperative is just never cool and tbh, this whole situation is giving us major Peter vibes. His character in Divergent was known for being rather disruptive and you know, just not listening to anyone else ever, even when they knew was was best for him. (Seriously, he barely showed Tris or Four any respect!) But, hopefully this isn't how Miles always is and perhaps he truly just had a rough night.

The details about what happened and where he was throughout the night are unclear. He was with a group of his guy friends and his girlfriend, Keleigh Sperry, was not in attendance. She posted a photo just 12 hours ago on Instagram at her sister's bachelorette party. She captioned the shot, "TEAM BRIDE for my sister @michellesperryy Bach! Maid of honor duties called into action for this large crew! ? we love you bride!❤️??."

Seems like Miles maybe just had a little too much fun. Keleigh, Miles nor his rep have commented on the arrest. We have a feeling he may make a statement when the time is right. Until then, the actor has gone radio silent on all forms of social media.
