Miley Cyrus surprised us all with her free album, and now she has a new song out called "Hands of Love," which she recorded for the movie Freeheld. The film is about a lesbian couple's struggle to transfer pension benefits from a police officer to her girlfriend after she gets diagnosed with terminal cancer.
The song is equally heartbreaking, and it's so emotional hearing the singer croon like that. It's especially poignant because Miley is so dedicated to helping LGBT youth.
“She has a really raw, unique, awesome, beautiful voice, and Miley’s doing a lot of incredible things for the LGBTQ community. I just thought it was going to be a perfect fit. She and Linda made something really special. I kept listening to it after I heard it," Ellen Page (who stars in the movie) said. And we agree.
