Miley Cyrus Gears Up For 2013 Album On New Label

2013 is looking like the year of the Miley!

Miley Cyrus has signed a new record deal with RCA, and fans can expect a whole new Miley album -- and sound -- by the end of 2013!

After a two-year break from music following 2010's 'Can't Be Tamed,' Miley left Hollywood Records to experiment with her music on another level.

"It's almost like being a new artist and trying to make a first impression," Miley says. "I think the best thing I could have done was take those two years off to really live, because now people don't think of me as who I was on the TV show."

Over the past few months, Miley has been in the studio with Hit-Boy and Da Internz adding a bit of edge to her new music. She has also been working alongside top music producer Pharrell Williams.

"I really didn't want to make a hip-hop record, and I'm not trying at all to be a Rihanna or a Nicki [Minaj]....That's not my vibe," Miley says. "When I was growing up, my older brother would sneak me Nelly CDs, my dad had me listening to Dolly [Parton] and Johnny [Cash], and my mom is a complete metal head. So this record is a weird mixture of all that."
