Miley Cyrus has been very open as of late when it comes to talking about her very private relationship with Liam Hemsworth.
The singer gave fans a glimpse into their lives together when she released her new single “Malibu” and now she’s revealing just how difficult their first breakup was, and just what she and Liam were able to learn from it in a new interview with SiriusXM.

When asked about what kind of advice she would give her younger self about her first split with the actor, she says, “know that everything is happening for the right reason, and I knew that when we weren’t together the first time. I didn’t know if that was the end of it or know if we’d be back together again, but knew that wherever I was going I was on the right path.”
“I think that people who breakup then get back together, that’s awesome because you know it’s true and you get time to be yourself and grow up. I think that if you grow up attached to the other person, you never really get solid and your own being. So I think that I’m really solid and he’s really solid, and together we’re two really grounded people. It’s not a half and a half making a whole,” the continued to say.

Both Miley and Liam were able to learn a lot about themselves during their time apart, and it’s clear that the two were able to easily reconnect despite having changed quite a bit since when they first began their romance.
This new era of Miley’s career has her being more open and honest with fans like never before. Hopefully she’ll reveal a few more details about her relationship with Liam, and if a wedding may soon be on the horizon for them.
