#RealTalk: There's, Like, Zero Chance 'My Babysitter's a Vampire' Will Ever Get a Season 3

Disney Channel

Disney Channel fans, is it time to rejoice? Episodes of My Babysitter's a Vampire continuing airing on TV, and people are still searching for info on the show, which has some fans believing that it might be coming back for Season 3. Does this mean that the Canadian Disney Channel favorite is making a comeback, despite it being off the air for the past six years?

The rumor started when Vanessa Morgan — who played Sarah on the series and currently stars as Toni Topaz on Riverdale Season 2 — sent out a tweet in 2016 suggesting the show, which ended in 2012, film a new season. "My Babysitter's a Vampire Season 3 .....Anyone? #disney," she tweeted.

In July 2017, Vanessa did an Instagram Live with her MBAV co-stars and teased it on Twitter by saying, "It's happening guys... My Babysitter's a Vampire 🔮💉Sarah is back."

With Vanessa dishing out hope on social media, fans are wondering if there's truly any chance that My Babysitter's a Vampire could come back for a third season. So what's the truth? Is there more to see from Ethan Morgan, Sarah, Benny Weir, Rory, and more?

It was announced in 2013 that My Babysitter's a Vampire wouldn't be picked up for a third season, a decision that seriously irked many fans. Especially because Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger.

"We can now officially say that for the time being there will not be a third season of My Babysitter’s a Vampire. This has been a long time in coming but we wanted to explore every single avenue and pursue every possibility first as we wanted to make more of this amazing show as badly as all of you wanted to watch it."

There was, at one point, a petition picking up traction on Change.org. The petition called for Netflix to make a Season 3. Nearly 3,000 people signed the petition but it's since been closed.

Unfortunately, it seems like Vanessa's the only Babysitter alum to comment on the possibility of a third season. Cameron Kennedy, who played Rory, isn't even in the acting business anymore. He works at a digital consulting firm now. While it doesn't seem likely that Disney Channel will resurrect the project, many fans are holding onto a sliver of hope that, sometime in the future, Season 3 will become a reality. Until then, we'll just be awww-ing over the fact that they're all still besties.
