Ah, young love! Noah Cyrus had quite the night at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Aug. 27. Miley Cyrus’ little sister was not only nominated for Best New Artist, but she also introduced host Katy Perry’s epic, closing performance of “Swish Swish.”

The 17-year-old of course had her famous family — Miley, 24, sister Brandi, and parents Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus — by her side at the ceremony. But she also had the support of her boyfriend, Tanner Drayton. The cute couple cozied up to one another in their seats during a moment of downtime at the show. The pair donned matching sweatshirts (white for her, black for him) and looked so happy to keep each other company for the evening. Learn more about their relationship in the video below!

Prior to their VMAs date, Noah has frequently taken to social media to gush over her handsome beau. Just last week, the “Stay Together” songstress shared two adorable snaps of herself and Tanner via Instagram. In one pic, the duo stand side by side, sporting slight smiles. In the other photo, Noah plants a smooch on Tanner’s cheek. “? my love,” she wrote alongside the post.

And on Aug. 10, Noah uploaded a silly shot of the two sticking their tongues out. “this sums up our relationship pretty well,” she affectionately captioned the ‘gram. While it’s unclear when Noah and Tanner’s relationship began, her love life seems to be back on track after an ill-fated romance.

Earlier this year, Noah told Schon magazine that her messy split from an unidentified ex inspired the heartbreak anthems that make up much of her upcoming debut album, NC-17. “During the process of making NC-17, I had a boyfriend, so a lot of the songs are about my breakup,” she explained. “I was really sad after and realized it was a big mistake, because I didn’t realize how happy I was in the moment and that I took it for granted.”
