Fifth Harmony took quite the blow at the end of 2016 when Camila Cabello made an abrupt exit from the band. Ever since then it has been rebuilding and figuring out what works best for the girls as a foursome. With their new jam "Down" and an album coming out soon, it seems like 5H didn't even skip a beat.

But, there was one question everyone was wondering when Camila left and that was whether or not the band was going to change their name. They were dubbed Fifth Harmony at first for obvious reasons – there were five members. Now that it was down to four, would the name still work? The girls hadn't addressed this until now. They revealed that it was something they talked about but in the end, the name Fifth Harmony had become about so much more than just five people grouped together under this moniker.

Lauren Jauregui, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane and Normani Kordei sat down with MTV and when the name changing topic came up the girls all said they are absolutely not doing it.

Lauren said, "It was obviously like, I feel like a thought, just because it was obviously a prevalent thing that there was four of us and not five but, regardless, we were all very united on the fact that we didn’t want to change the name. It wasn’t our thought that was circulating."

She continued, "Fifth Harmony is the name that we grew with and we worked for. It’s our brand it’s who we are. It’s our whole entire moments – what we’ve spent five years on, you know."

Definitely makes a lot of sense, if you ask us! Dinah then chimed in with the best statement of all. She said, "The fans named us Fifth Harmony and now they’re the fifth member." YASSS.

So yes, everyone Harmonizer that is reading this – you are the fifth member. You are part of Fifth Harmony and that will never change. It's pretty freaking amazing that the girls have this mentality after going through such a difficult period. Everyone was unsure about the fate of the group after the Camila drama but clearly, they are thriving. Fifth Harmony is not going anywhere.
