Louis Tomlinson's highly anticipated follow-up solo single "Back to You" has arrived and the song featuring Bebe Rexha is a jam. Seriously, that melody is everything and since Louis co-wrote it, his lyrics once again get us all right in the core, which he's done in the past with One Direction tunes he's co-written. But of course everyone wants to know who exactly this song is about, since it's about an intense relationship and features some rather telling lyrics:

"You got me so addicted to the drama
I tell myself I'm done with wicked games
But then I get so numb with all the laughter
That I forget about the pain

Whoah, you stress me out, you kill me
You drag me down, you f—k me up
We're on the ground, we're screaming
I don't know how to make it stop
I love it, I hate it, and I can't take it
But I keep on coming back to you (back to you)
Oh, no, no, I just keep on coming back to you (back to you)
Oh, no, no, I just keep on coming back to you

And I guess you'll never know
All the bulls—t that you put me through
And I guess you'll never know, no"

Louis is currently dating Eleanor Calder, who he previously dated for years before he had a baby with Briana Jungwirth and dated actress Danielle Campbell. He and Eleanor found their way back to each other, so of course, you would suspect this tune is about her and their relationship. Well, not so fast. The singer explained that this song isn't actually about anything personal to him.

"I didn't necessarily write this from personal experience. There are a few references in there, but it's kind of the most extreme situation of that kind of relationship. It's just about there's always those people in your life that no matter what happens really, you just kind of finding yourself coming back to that one person," Louis explained in an interview. "The rest of my album is very personal and is very much about me, so it's kind of nice to take the pressure off with this song and have something that's not as close to related to me. But it's important across your music that you let fans get to know you even more than they already obviously do know me."

OK, safe to say this song isn't exactly a tell-all about his love story with Eleanor that we've all been waiting to hear. Hey, they've been through a lot and she's been a member of the 1D universe for a long time so we're just curious! Well, it looks like we might get to hear a ton more about Eleanor, possibly Louis' other relationships and all the heartache he's been through in different aspects of his life once he drops his solo album, which he has said he's still working on. In an interview with BBC News, he admitted he's written around 50 (!!!) songs, and yes, they are mostly about his leading lady.

"My whole mission with this album is to not write these Hollywood-esque songs that talk about some unfathomable crazy love story. I'm so bored of that," Louis explained. "There's a couple of songs that me and my girlfriend really like that'll never be used for anything, so they're kind of just for us. That's really nice. A lot of the album's about her, really. I wanted to make the album feel chronological, because that's how I wrote it. You can hear my journey as an individual over these three years — leaving the band, then going out on to the really crazy party scene, and then I've kind of ended up full circle back with Eleanor, who I love dearly."

OK, we need a minute to process.

Knowing that Louis is so happy now, after dealing with the devastating loss of his beloved mom Johannah with someone who has known him for so long is truly the sweetest. Can't wait for this album now!
